Terasa Mexicana, Ljubljana, Slovenia

Terasa Mexicana - tucked away on the first floor of Mercator Center in Šiška. A nice place to try out. Cesar's salad is very good.

Martin Lipovšek - just finished Gimanzija Ledina and starting philosophy study, Lipovšek core comes from Zasavje, Kunaver from mother side was leading expeditions on Everest and Kunaver grandma writes a lot of books, he did several researches at IJS with help of Tomaž Ogrin whom he met at chemistry summer camp, received ZOTKS silver prize, latest research was on use of microwave ovens in chemistry labs, is a debater, was on Filip Dobranič's workshop, belongs to Bičkova skala Scouts, played piano for 6 years, is reading Strauss's The Game (I first saw it at Steklasa's - Mexico pattern?) and will one day work in CERN in combination with social science. Large Social Collider.

Hair, but not he musical. They tried really hard, yet still a rather long black hair escaped their attention and ended up in my dish. Not a good experiment.

Burger King BTC - the first and the only at the moment in Slovenia. Not yet fully picked up up the target audience. Whopper me gently.

J.K. - not Rowling, but Marketing Assistant at IBM Slovenia, surname derived from Koščak, born and raised in Ljubljana, about to finish EF, came to IBM via student work ad, played basketball for 12 years, among others for KK Jezica and Olimpija and Hauptman basket camps, knows a lot about basketball, used to read Slam when he was following NBA maniacally, currently reads Alamut and will one day take a bottom team and drive them to the top through hard work and intelligent management. Sport as business and sport as way of life.

Foculus - one of the best pizzerias in town. A must go to - totally recommended.

A. Novak - system administrators leader at Vzajemna, on July 15th he will have worked exactly 15 years, started in ZZZS which subsequenly spun off Vzajemna, rides his bike almost everyday from hi home in Kamnik to office in Ljubljana, does not read books much, partly influenced by forced reading of mighty Ana Karenina in high school and will one day devote himself to building sustainable systems.

Kongo, Grosuplje, Slovenia

Kongo - the famous casino and restaurant in Grosuplje, just outside of Ljubljana. A must for casion fans, optional for others. I wonder if they always forget their soup when you order it or was this a special treat for us?

Matjaž Slak - sales coordinator at Tipro, born and raised in Ljubljana with Dolenjska roots, started in IBM as OS/2 support and then webmaster before Marko Angelski took over that part, worked also for SRC and Atol, has two sons, the second one just out of the oven, rides bike and reads Terry Pratchett's Nation, which surprisingly does not belong to Discworld, is generally sci-fi fan and will one day devote his professional energy fully into sales consulting.

Supposedly the craziest game so far in a casino. Serious doubts.

Slamca - popular pizza&pasta lunch place just outside of Ljubljana ring. Recommended.

Drago Belak - IT Architect at IBM Slovenia, originates from Dol pri Hrastniku and Sevnica, worked also for SRC, currently in the middle of Enterprise Architecture workshop, was developer at Pošta and was brought to IBM by Silvo Mlakar, reads about how a US guy rolled out TQM in post war Japan and will one day take Gene Rodenberry's legacy further into sustainability direction. Warp 9!

Hot Horse, BTC, Ljubljana, Slovenia

Hot Horse - all time favourite burger for many fast food lovers. Main reason that Slovenia is very high on horses eaten per capita. Ethics?

Luka Pušnik - Cloud Computing Sales Manager for IBM in CEE, grew up in Kamnik, worked for Mlacom where he's also sold first computer to Hot Horse founder and for good deal got a lot of horse burgers, also ate a dog in Uzbekistan in the darkness outside of Tashkent, worked also for Anni, Netsec and S&T, was dancing acrobatic rock'n'roll 4 years in elementary school with Vlasta Rotar and decent results, performed at Universiade openning, enjoys Arboretum with Dalia and the kids, listenes to Punk like Kuzle and will one day help entrepreneurial and ambitious people make their dreams come true faster. Punk'n'roll.

Pavza - new business lunch place close to Kristalna palača. Very satisfied. Recommended.

Dalia Pušnik - ISV & Developer Relations Programs Manager, mixed roots from Varaždin and Vojvodina, came to IBM via Tina Žmuc Reflak, started in Pelko's department, worked for District Court - boring in terms of actual work, but very interesting in terms of what you hear in sessions, also worked for Dairy Queen, was never pulled over by police, two kids, recently moved to new flat where she also has place and time for Alan Ford, crosswords and sweets, family is on the first spot by a huge margin, regular in Arboretum Volčji Potok - huge fans of this park, determined that women smokers should definitely stop while pregnant and will one day full time coach people how to dress up stylish and according to their personality while fully enjoying family life. Style up!

Grass around and on Kristalna palača ...

... grows astonishingly quick ... :)

Tomaž Pihlar - independent IT consultant and project manager, born and raised in Celje, FS graduate, used to sell at winter fairs, is neglecting his shiny home cinema equipment, 2 kids, reading The Kite Runner, still has collection of vinyl's and will one day devote himself to getting stalled projects off the ground by employing sophisticated management techniques. Noble.

Getting rid of chewing gums by steam. Somebody has to do it.

Kratochwill - this one adjacent to biggest supermarket in Slovenia, the French E'Leclerc. Same standard, same service.

Damjan Kovač - independent IT professional at Softec, from Stična in Dolenjska. Currently deals with Cloud Computing architectures and services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) and BPM. Recently worked at FRI & IJS as a researcher in the field of IT security and trust management. Worked also for Mobitel d.d. and IUS Software as a senior software architect (application middleware, document systems, ETL). He holds a PhD degree in Computer Science (trust in SOA) from FRI. Currently reads about Programming WCF services and if he studied again, he would definitely go for a medicine. He is passionate cyclist, tennis player, traveler and loves sports cars (drives Audi S3 and looks forward to Audi RS6 :)

Buf - recently opened new Buf branded restaurant next to Lesnina store (acquired by XXL Lutz) in Brdo. A bit remote location, yet recommended for really great pizzas.

Denis Lončar - multimedia designer and creative director at Numo, born and raised in Kranj, now Ljubljana dweller, drives Qashqai in nightshade colour, started fashion study at NTF, but continued to finish FOV where he caught computer programming bug, worked for and with Ixtlan and Pristop Renderspace, Tovarna Vizij, Enki, Nicha, Nuit, Gooya and Kreattiva, is reading Zapis Duše, is parallel reader, mountaineer, scuba diver, surfed for 12 years, about to quit smoking, big sci-fi fan and will one day have an institute to facilitate exquisite creativity. Bling-bling.

Really awesome pizza. Totally recommended.

Subito, BTC, Ljubljana, Slovenia

Subito - Italian place under Kolosej multipleks. Decent pasta and pizzas. Recommended, especially if you've already seen the movie upstairs.

Marko Vahen - Key Account Manager at IBM Slovenia, born and raised in Ljubljana, his family had a castle in Carinthia in 12th century, but unfortunately sold it, tour guide and the party voice of Mondial Travel in his younger years, worked for Diners Club and Episcenter, lived in Milano half a year, is planning to climb Kilimanjaro with his wife - soon, scuba and sky diver, enjoyed horse riding in Mongolia with Lifetrek team, is reading about Fateful Choices that changed the course of WWII, is recommending it, but his all time favourite is Dorian Gray and when the stars will line up for him, he will help Tomo Križnar with his cause - and maybe make him stay in TV studio a bit longer to convince some more people about the causes worth fighting for. Indeed.

Big electric brother leading small rent-a-brothers back home. Bicikelj in action. Unfortunately not yet in BTC.
