Sheraton Amman, Amman, Jordan

Slovenian Army going to Kosovo.

Jure Zivec (Živec), IBM manager very familiar with IBM services. Featured in the near future.

There are many people who for various reasons do not want to have any digital footprint on the web. The non-searchables. There is a very competent Tivoli Technical person in Middle East
that belongs to this group of people. I respect that. Born and raised in Jordan and the rest about him only people close to him (as opposed to WWW public) will ever know.

D-Lounge, Domina, Ljubljana, Slovenia

If you are in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and type in Google: "Domina Ljubljana", they block it. Afraid of something? Domina is the name of the hotel in Ljubljana.

Domina Grand Media, one of the newest and most modern hotels in Ljubljana.

D-Lounge is pretty quiet during daytime ...

... and serving interesting high priced dishes.

Mateja Muhic (Muhič) knows how IBM software gets distributed in emerging markets. High growth, incentives, rebates and terminations are the name of the game. Born and raised in Gornja Radgona. Two big companies with three letter abbreviation (TLA) names could pretty much describe a big chunk of her professional career: NLB and IBM. She likes good food, good wine, good service and good watches. Meat better be seasoned or she won't have it.

MG film caffe and Khala, Kaptol, Zagreb, Croatia

Slovenian or Croatian?

"MG film caffe" in Centar Kaptol. Not hip enough for Vladimir, so we moved downstairs to Khala bar. Good move.

Lounge bar Khala. A really nice place. Zagreb has nice Lounge bars.

Women toilette is just amazing.

Vladimir Kutnjak, for a couple of days still delivering IBM Software value proposition to customers and partners, but soon he is moving to GKB bank to advise the board on change management and prosperous IT and business integration. He was born and raised in Zagreb and his family are proud owners of the only residential property on St.Mark's square in Zagreb. The house is haunted by ghosts. Needs to be verified. He tried Political Science and Law study, but was not very fond of it. He has done several very different kind of jobs: club bouncing, bar waiting, co-founder of phone helpline for children and adults in distress (in the beginning of the war -it's still up and running: Plavi telefon), he worked for UNPROFOR, Casa Di Risparmio Di Trieste and currently at IBM. Avid skier, used to do boxing, was goalkeeper at RK Zagreb, played waterpolo and his latest passion is horse riding. He is planning to go to Spain to ride 600km "el Camino de Santiago", the famous pilgrimage Way of St.James. The only acceptable means are by foot, by horse or by bicycle. He is also a known for lounging&partying&networking. Time&Money worries aside, he would be helping people, searching for Holy Grail (inside and outside) and play the role of real life Paladin. Imagine that.

St.Patrick, Skopje, Macedonia

Stane Brlecic (Brlečič) - Managing Director of SRC.SI office in Macedonia. Stane is half Croatian, was born and raised in Ljubljana and graduated at Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. First he worked for GoldenDrum - organizing parties for this Advertising and Media Festival/gathering and then he joined SRC.SI in Ljubljana, having several jobs, before accepting the challenge and moved to Macedonia. He likes to play basketball a lot, started with Golf and when good weather he is enthusiastic in-line skater. He's a movie and music lover - a lot of them in DiVX and MP3 form. He also likes sailing and his latest book was My legendary girlfriend by Mike Gayle. He loves cooking and setting parties for his friends - where he makes great cocktails. In the last couple of weeks in Skopje, he is also coughing a lot :) A sudden upsurge in money and free time would make him throw a lot of big parties. How big? EXIT size.

The one and only Irish Pub in Skopje - St.Patrick

(Sašo) Saso Tasevski is Services and Systems Integration Manager at INet in Skopje. His origin is from Kumanovo and he is a distant relative of Karposh. He switched his Electronics study for Management at American College in Skopje. He's a hard core IT guy and has been working for INet since his first salary :) He is also very keen on Electronic Music and used to be a DJ. Fast Music is in his veins. His latest books were Funky Business and The Theory of Everything by Hawking. His distant aspiration includes managing company or department of 10.000 people. Nice.

Adria Airways, Ljubljana-Vienna-Sofia, Bulgaria

Petra Wagner is IBM Sales lady for Financial Services Sector in Slovenia. Born in Maribor, having German name (Wagner), but she would not know the origins of it. She majored Pedagogy and Sociology at
Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. She used to teach ballroom dancing: Standard and latin dances. Currently she is on the way to her Ph.D in corporate education, mentored by Mojca Kovac Sebart. She published an article on comparison of education in prisons/detention institutions between Slovenia and Nordics. She is a member of EPEA and with EPEA they already had a trip to Bulgaria. When finishing study and looking for work in corporate environment (to test the waters), she landed a job with IBM through Adecco. When younger, most of her free time she spent dancing. She was competitor dancer and a member of IDSF She likes travelling and recently she has been to Mexico and Egypt. Her latest books were Freakonomics and The Company. Money&Time aplenty would take her to Africa to help build schools and help in systematic way in education in general. And, yes, smoking kills.

Adria Airways is about to get bigger jets. CRJ-900.

A bizarre and a beautiful scene from Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
